WOMBO AI is a Canadian artificial intelligence company that earlier this year released an app called WOMBO Dream. The app, which is available in most online stores and via an online browser, uses AI to combine word messages with an art style to create beautiful and completely original paintings in seconds.
Vancouver is amazing ran several Vancouver-specific search terms through the app and came out with some … exciting results.
The “Vancouver Affordable Housing” prompt (run through the fantasy filter, of course) spat out a cluttered wall of apartments stretching into cloudy skies. Pretty accurate.
The “Vancouver Mountains” prompt became a beautiful piece that resembles an oil painting of the city with a lot of mountains and trees threatening over it.
WOMBO was even able to conjure up the famous English Bay Barge with the prompt “Vancouver Barge.” While the shape of the barge leaves something to be desired, the red rusty color is spot on.
“Stanley Park” generated using the Ukiyoe filter that was flipped created a mix of urban structures, water and green spaces that give off a vague old Japanese feel.
