A woman was killed shot Friday morning inside her home in Gresham on the South Side.
The 25-year-old was in the front room of his home in the 7600 block of South May Street around 6 p.m. 1:45 a.m. when she was hit in the chest by shots, Chicago police said.
She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
No one was remanded in custody.
There have been 34 homicides in the Auburn Gresham area – three more than the community had in the entire past year, according to data from the Sun-Times.
