South Bay homeless advocates make sure no one goes hungry this Thanksgiving

SAN JOSE, California (CROWN) – In South Bay, homeless advocates make sure no one goes hungry this Thanksgiving.

Volunteers from San Jose’s City Team Ministries got up as early as 6 p.m. 2am to start preparing 60 turkeys and all the sides needed to provide a hot meal for hungry people on Thanksgiving.

Across the city at St. James Park turned up Patricio Buendia with 200 homemade chile verde and turkey burritos.

Nearby, Tom Le and his crew from KV Noodle were back for the eighth year in a row.

Back at City Team, head chef Reynolds Stewart and the company got ready to serve dinner to about 300 people, and they’ll be back for it again tomorrow.
