Met Office issues snow warning for Birmingham and shares exact times when it will hit

The Met Office has issued a snow forecast for Birmingham on Saturday – and said rain is expected tomorrow.

According to forecasters, the snowfall could bring some traffic and travel chaos.

The snow warning lasts until kl. 10 on Saturday and is accompanied by a separate alarm for wind.

In its forecast, forecasters from the Meteorological Agency have said temperatures could drop to minus two.

It warns: “Remains windy through the night, especially in the west with strong gusts. Outbursts of rain spread south through the night and became wintry over high terrain. Widespread frost and feeling of cold.”

On Saturday, it adds: “The rain clears all morning, leaving a largely dry afternoon with sunny intervals. Feels cold due to significant wind cooling in strong and strong north winds associated with storm Arwen.”

The Met Office has warned: “While most areas will see periods of rain, there is a small chance that this will turn to snow Saturday morning, which will lead to some disruption.”

There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers along with delayed or canceled train and air travel.

There is a small chance that some rural areas may be cut off.

There is a small chance that power outages will occur and other services, such as cell phone coverage, may be affected.
