Cases are falling across the region

Most of North Okanagan and Shuswap saw a steep drop in the number of confirmed COVID cases last week.

The BC Center for Disease Control said Vernon had 44 cases between Nov. 14 and 20.

That is a drop from 75 reported for the previous week of 7-13. November.

Enderby also saw a decrease in the number of cases from 35 to 20 in the same period.

However, the Armstrong-Spallumcheen area saw a doubling from 10 to 20 cases.

Elsewhere in the region, Penticton also saw an increase, with 18 cases reported last week, up from 15 from the week before.

The Salmon Arm region saw a drop from 41 cases to 37.

Central Okanagan, which includes Kelowna, Lake Country and West Kelowna, saw a drop of 87 cases, 140 of which were recorded last week.

Kamloops recorded 92 cases last week, down from 132 the week before.
