Keanu Reeves, who will be repeating his role as Neo in the time to come The Matrix Resurrection, said “it would be an honor” to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In a new video interview with Esquire, which you can check out at the top, Reeves asked a question about the chances of him ever staying in MCU.
“Is it not bigger than a universe? It’s almost like a multiverse. It’s a Marvel verse … It would be an honor, ”it said John Wick actor and star of Esquires Winter number said. “There are some really amazing directors and visionaries, and they’re doing something that no one really has ever done. It’s special in that sense in terms of scale, ambition, production. So it would be cool to be a part of it.”
Back in 2019, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige said Reeves is being hit “for almost every movie we make” while attending a press conference for Spider-Man: Far from home. He added: “I do not know when, if ever he will join the MCU, but we would very much like to find out the right way to do it.”
Nor is it the first time Reeves has talked about wanting to work with Marvel. In 2018, the actor said he would “love playing Wolverine.” In 2019, it was reported that Reeves rejected the chance to play Yon-Rogg Captain Marvel so he could continue working John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Matrix resurrections, who in addition to Reeves will play Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jada Pinkett Smith, Neil Patrick Harris and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles, is set to drop next month on December 22, 2021.
