Denver Rescue Mission serves Thanksgiving lunch despite recent stabbings

DENVER (KDVR) – The Denver Rescue Mission will continue their Thanksgiving events this season, despite the stabbing of an employee last weekend.

In light of mission security issues, the organization will serve Thanksgiving meals to those in need. Meals will include turkey and gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, salad and pie.

The event starts today, starting at. 11.30 and ends at 1pm at Lawrence Street Community Center. Special guest volunteers include Senator John Hickenlooper, Mayor Michael Hancock and Channel 7s Anne Trujillo.
