Mr. T gives fans a health update – on the most possible Mr. T-way – after receiving its COVID-19 booster shot.
Saturday was the 69-year-old A team and Rocky III Star tweeted, “I’m blessed and I’m grateful” after receiving the booster shot, which is currently available to certain groups, including people 65 and older. The Food and Drug Administration is under pressure to approve boosters for all adults that are allowed in California, Colorado and New Mexico.
Born Lawrence Tureaud, the former wrestler and TV personality could not resist riffing on his trademark phrase as he shared his vaccination experience.
“My arm is a little sore but no pain,” he added. “I’m in pain!”
The 80s icon and “professional foolish idiots” continued to thank “all doctors and nurses” before noticing that he would still take COVID-19 precautions.
“Even though I am fully vaccinated, I will still wear my mask and keep my distance, thank you,” he wrote.
The actor’s booster update proved to be popular with fans and got more than 104,000 likes. Dan Rather and CNN’s Jake Tapper were among those who shared his tweet.
Some Twitter users, meanwhile, wondered if Mr T could be angry about his vaccine support, which comes a week after Texas Senator Ted Cruz struck. Sesame Street to have a vaccinated Big Bird.
