Robert Sarver made sexual jokes during Dick Heckman’s memorial service

The comments were allegedly made at a memorial service for Heckman, who was a minority owner of the team before his death. According to SI, Heckman’s widow arranged a memorial service, which was in accordance with her deceased husband’s wishes.

It was at this frying that Sarver made several inappropriate comments in terms of what appears to be attempts at humor. There is no record that Sarver has had a career in comedy, either at the amateur or professional level.

These are not jokes, either because they are funny or because they are harmless. Sarver is accused of creating a hostile and toxic work environment during his tenure as owner, one in which “inappropriate, scandalous and consistent with Robert Sarver’s behavior.”

The release of the footage, which was reportedly taken during a team-go-ahead session, appears to further confirm the details of the original report.

According to Sports Illustrated, neither Sun nor Sarver’s representatives have commented on the video’s release.
