SZA fans did not feel that Travis Scott’s music was played at her latest show in his home state after the Astroworld Festival tragedies last weekend.
Video footage began circulating online Sunday night (November 7), which showed SZA fans buh-fat at her show at South Side Music Hall in Dallas when the DJ played La Flame’s “Sicko Mode” with Drake. In the 12-second clip, the entire audience is seen with mostly stone-cold faces, while others loudly expressed their contempt for the number. The DJ then switched the song to DJ Khaled’s “Every Chance That I Get” with Lil Baby and Lil Durk, and the mood of the entire audience changed. The video can be seen at the bottom of this post.
The crowded venue, which shows very little love for Travis Scott, comes a few days after the mass-accident event that took place at the Houston rapper’s Astroworld Festival on November 5th. The concert ended tragically with eight deaths and 25 hospitalizations after a massive spectator rally that pushed the participants towards the stage, causing people to be crushed and presumed suffocation.
Travis has since released a statement offering prayers and support for the lost lives and those affected by the tragedy. La Flame has also announced that he will cover the funeral costs of the eight deceased and has partnered with BetterHelp to offer free online one-on-one therapy to those seeking mental health services after the devastating event.
In addition, Travis Scott announced that he will refund all Astroworld Festival attendees and has canceled his performance at Day N Vegas this Saturday (November 13). His main performance has been replaced by Post Malone.
