Personally, I have two favorites: Number 1 is the Grand Palisades Fall Foliage Yacht Tour because it is aboard the beautiful yacht “Manhattan”. My other recommendation is the yacht trip.

Hudson River Fall Foliage Yacht Tour

The Hudson River Fall Foliage Yacht Tour is very similar to the Grand Palisades Fall Foliage Yacht Tour. The only difference is that you travel on the elegant yacht “Kingston”, and the trip lasts 2.5 hours.

Kingston is another ship in the Navy, built in the style of yachts in the 1920s. Therefore, you can expect a very special atmosphere on board, which is not comparable to the sightseeing cruises. This is why these fall foliage cruises are so popular around the fall.

You start your trip at Chelsea Piers and then sail along the Hudson River. On the way, you pass the George Washington Bridge, look at the Upper West Side of NYC and then reach the cliffs of Palisades Park.

By the way: only on the weekend in the fall does Kingston travel to the Hudson Valley. If you’re in NYC during the week and want to go on a boat trip where you can enjoy the colorful fall foliage, just check out the other trips on my best list!
