The Good Life is finally picking up a launch date in October

Small towns always seem to have secrets on the way, and that’s no different in The Good Life. This mysterious adventure led by Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro from Deadly Premonition fame has been publicly kicking off for a while now. It has finally found a date where we can proudly pick ourselves up for a launch on October 15th. That’s when you go to the British countryside to photograph your way out of debt and try to learn the city’s secrets, where everyone turns into animals.

“The Good Life is a captivating adventure game in which you play as Naomi, a photographer in New York who has just arrived in the small British town of Rainy Woods with a specific job at hand — to discover the truth behind this place known as the ‘ happiest city in the world ‘, “says White Owls.” Drive counterclockwise by tracking multiple tracks and solving mysteries like a human, a cat or a dog! “You can see all the animal-based shennannigans in the thorough new trailer right here.

All the while, you will be exploring the town of Rainy Woods, harvesting crops, discovering clothes, trying recipes and all that. Oh yeah, and selling photographs to pay off your debts while trying to solve this crazy expensive mystery of course. You can also ride a sheep, which I suppose is the primary mode of transport in the British countryside.

After being talked about for several years, missing the first crowdfunding campaign and then succeeding in the second, it’s good to see The Good Life approaching the finish line.

If you need more, Brendy Caldwell chatted with Swery back in 2018 about progress with The Good Life, how no cats are evil and inspiration for social media.

The Good Life comes to PC on October 15 on Steam along with the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4.
