Ronnie Ortiz-Magro admits he violated his probation by being arrested for alleged domestic violence, but this must be his lucky day – because the judge gives him another shot.
The ‘Jersey Shore’ star appeared in a courtroom in Los Angeles on Friday, where he admitted his probation violation, which could have meant immediate jail time – but instead the court makes this an instructive moment for Ronnie.
We got Ronnie to go to court and he told our photograph that he was hoping for good news … and he definitely got some.
You remember, DA’s office said Ronnie violated probation in his domestic violence with his ex Jenn Harley … when he was arrested for an alleged incident with Sapphire Matos, his latest GF.
On Friday, the judge ordered Ronnie to take 26 parenting courses, and there is now a 3-year protection order in place so he can not harass or intimidate Saffire. The judge also gave him the credit for completing a rehab program in Florida so he does not have to spend 30 days in jail.
As we first told you … Ronnie claims he has since cleaned up his action and he is getting ready to return to the reality TV show that made him famous.
Ronnie’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, tells TMZ … they’re glad the court was pleased with Ron’s completion of a rehabilitation program. We are told that Ron has now been sober for 5 months and decides to continue with counseling as he focuses on being a better family man.
His next trial date is set for March 17, but he does not have to be there in person.
