This Morning-fasting chef Phil Vickery was forced to address why his shirt had changed halfway through the show after host Holly Willoughby discovered the difference.

Phil was ready to cook some tasty treats for Holly and Phillip Schofield on Wednesday morning and put together some tomato soup and his bid for a Welsh rarity.

Something, however, distracted the hosts when the TV chef returned to make his second dish of the day, a plum crumb cake.

Holly asked him, ‘Are you hiding this second part of the show from anyone?

‘Because you were wearing a mustard shirt and now we can not see you at all!’ she joked after noticing he was currently in a camouflage shirt.

‘No, what happened was I got tomato soup over the last one,’ laughed the chef.

‘I was in the kitchen and I moved the stool and there’s still a big black mark over it,’ Phil added.

Favorite This Morning said he went to the locker room after his incident but that he could not find anyone there.

He said, ‘I even had to iron my own shirt, there you go!’

Phillip went on to ask him, ‘Is that your shirt? Did you get into that today? ‘

However, the chef explained that he had to call the locker room to give him the sweater, with Phillip laughing: ‘We would not have been able to see you if you had!’

The trio giggled over the unfortunate moment when Phil reminded his co-stars of an earlier moment from last year’s Halloween.

He continued: ‘Remember Halloween, when I was the tree standing in the kitchen, turned around this way.

‘The boss said to me,’ Look what the wood is doing in the kitchen? ‘ and I just turned around and it was me! ‘

Elsewhere in today’s show, Holly and Phillip were joined by stars Jodie Comer and Stephen Graham to discuss their upcoming Channel 4 drama, Help.

The series, written by Jack Thorne, is the couple’s first time working together despite having known each other for a number of years.

Stephen admitted to the hosts that he and Jodie had both approached Jack to ask about making a series where they both played together.

He explained: ‘It’s its beginning, I just said, Jack, please write something to me and Jodie, I would love to work with her!’ shortly after finding out, Jodie had done the same.

This morning sent weekdays from kl. 10 on ITV.
