Xhaka have now returned to the UK and have resumed training with Arsenal at their London Colney base.
However, the 28-year-old is still suspended for the next two Premier League matches after being sent off against Manchester City last month.
Xhaka will miss the match against Burnley this weekend and will also be absent for Arsenal’s Carabao Cup match against AFC Wimbledon next week.
However, the Swiss captain was able to return to the Arsenal derby in north London with Tottenham on 26 September.
The Gunners are set to take on Spurs at the Emirates Stadium and Xhaka is hoping to return to the squad for the match as he is now back in training.
